My Japan observations
I have the feeling that most of the foriegn folks on this thread here in Japan are fitting in nicely.
I am from USA.
I was not a big fan of the food.
I became a fan of the moogicha tea.
Finding likeable food was a challenge.
I would go with associates to eat and they would be all about the menu, whereas I would revert to fried potatoe and chicken.
I liked multiple omibosh no rice, straight they found it weird.
They also found it odd that I wasn't all over the menu items.
The noodle slurping kinda weirded me out.
My salvation became food that I never eat, McDonalds and Mr. Doughnut, and Japan 7-11 rocks.
-
I found it really cool how orderly and well mannered the locals are.
I felt pissed off when I would see a foreigner on the train yacking on the phone or chatting loudly amongst themselves when the rest of the train was silent.
And how on earth can it be that I am standing on the train holding onto the strap to keep myself upright and a grey haired granny is standing there holding nothing.
Returning to USA seems like a nasty spoiled bunch.
Japan is a nice place to visit.
Doubt that I could live there.
Much respect (bowing 45 degrees).
In summary:
How can so many Japanese be so well mannered.
Seems like they ought to be pent up.
The foriegn visitors seem like pollution.
