Yes' Fragile/Led Zeppelin III Performed by SFRMA Members GAMH 03/13/13
The San Francisco Roots Music Association (SFRMA.org) proudly announces the next installment in our series of benefit concerts for underfunded children’s music programs.
On March 13, 2013 at San Francisco’s historic Great American Music Hall our musician members will be performing, in their entirety, the classic albums LED ZEPPELIN III and Yes’ FRAGILE.
The group performing LED ZEPPELIN III (“Immigrant Song,” “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” “Bron y’aur Stomp,” “Gallows Pole” and 6 more) features Orville Albright, guitar (Steakhouse); Sean Sullivan, guitar (The Warblers); Gorden Mack (Red House Painters) on mandolin, banjo and pedal steel; lead vocalist Paul Kane (Parallel Universe and many LA recording sessions); Aubrey Cloutier, bass; Jim Mitchell, drums; and Justin Craig-Kuhn, keyboards.
Yes’ FRAGILE album (“Roundabout,” “Long Distance Runaround,” “Heart Of The Sunrise,” “South Side Of The Sky” and 5 more) will be performed by Gary Hobish (True Margrit, The Jars) on Rickenbacker bass; JoJo Razor (The Flower Furnace) on lead vocals; Jozef Becker (The Loud Family, Graves Brothers Deluxe, Thin White Rope), drums; Kevin Seal (Griddle, W*A*S*H, Michael Zapruder) on piano and synths; Michelle Alexander (LikeLove), organ; Gordon Mack (Red House Painters), lead guitar; Roy Schmidt on percussion and JJ Holoubek, guitar. Several guests will be added for the nine-part harmonies on “We Have Heaven.”
Opening the show will be a performance by RockProjectSF.org's house band- young'uns ranging in age from 8-17,rocking as hard as just about anyone!
Tickets are only $15 with all proceeds going to Stand Up 4 Music (standup4music.org), a coalition of Californians who advocate for music as a vital part of a comprehensive education.
Doors open at 6:30 and will be over by 10:30 pm so even those on a “school night” will be able to take in the whole
show.
