He mentions it because he thinks I'm listening to him. The only time I
see what he has to say is when someone replies to him.

The story is this, and can be verified if you go back through the
archives :-

Steve Kramer was a member of this group before the (self professed)
troll boys turned up.

The boys were greeted and kindly asked to stop posting crap, as up until
this time Mr. Kramer was posting valid and helpful information.

They told the rest of the group that they would stop posting if Mr.
Kramer left the group, which he did. However they kept posting, and
dredging up a lot of stuff that was off topic (and still do to some extent).

The agenda is to find out where Mr. Kramer has gone and basically make a
lot of static, this also came to a head when they started posting on a
cancer support group, and it wasn't the Steve that they knew. It was
terrible and I could only feel remorse at shameful their actions.

Regardless I created a Yahoo list called rec-knives, and posted an
invitation to rec-knives here. The bait was obviously too tempting to
pass up and the boyz created multiple bogus accounts (as if I wouldn't
check with IP tracking tools). Especially when I said key words like
"security", and "wont get in".

However I didn't care, my main purpose was to create a group that was a
member farm, and I could issue invitations to those that were valid users.

The way Yahoo lists work is by numbers, if the group looks popular a lot
of searchers join, if the numbers are small people pass on the group.

No one knew the list was bogus except me.

After I got about 200 members shipped off to other "real" groups, I came
clean and apologised to rec-knives for the subterfuge. I wasn't proud
of it.

Naturally Fred was upset at being used in such a manner and created
multiple personalities here to state that the "trolls" were honourable
and my actions were far worse. They also tried to say that I didn't
fool them... well I did.

After I had closed the group Fred still insists that he has a membership
there... well good for him, the list no longer exists, as moderator of
the group I exercised the right to delete the group.

I see Fred's posts on occasion when people such as yourself respond to
him. I genuinely feel sorry for him, as he has proved he's deluded, and
really if he needs my affirmation of his existence, he's a very sorry
individual indeed.

Well anyway Fred I raise my glass to you, I hope one day you get past
your pointless games, and actually contribute something worthwhile to
society.

That's the history.

Regards Charles
P.S. Fred will no doubt try to defend himself or his actions, but with
global warming don't you think we have enough hot air?
