Preface

(February, 2009)

This paper is intended to present the concept of Absolute Time and
Absolute Space in the understanding of Our Universe, outside the
constrains imposed by the assumption that the determination of the
Universe has to be limited by the Speed of Light.

This work is addressed to the audience of people, who have good
knowledge of physics and mathematics at the college level and are
interested in the ideas of time and space.

The ideas behind the Theory of the Absolute were developed during
mental realizations called by the author "The Mind Games".

As any theory this one will require many empirical experiments and
mathematical verifications to be confirmed and/or rejected.

The explanation of the thought process offered here is concise, one
should say minimalistic by the design, and brings at least as many new
questions as answers it gives.

May this brief bring curiosity to all abstract thought practitioners.

CHAPTER 1: Breaking Down the Speed of Light in Vacuum - c Barrier.

For well over a century people have assumed that the maximum
achievable speed is the speed of the electromagnetic, light waves in
vacuum - c. This was proven in numerous experiments using measurements
of visible results.

The general consensus among physicists was reached that:

1. No physical phenomenon is faster than - c

2. Information can not be transmitted faster than - c

3. Significant mass can not travel at - c

4. Our observation of the Universe progresses no faster than - c

Based on the assumptions above and others, the interpretations of the
Physical Universe (and the consequences of the interpretations) were
developed by Albert Einstein in his ground breaking publications of
the Special and General Theory of Relativity[1] a century ago.


The author has investigated a different model of our Universe.

1. Simultaneous events (Qs) involving mass in any part of the Universe
happen at the same time (Ta) regardless of the frame of reference
(K).
1.1. Observers (Os) in any part of the Universe record them at
different times T1 and T2 (in their respective frames of reference K1,
K2) dependent on the Os distances from the events Qs as the
information arrives carried at the speed c.

2. Evidence of the event Q is available instantaneously throughout the
Universe, observers Os can not detect event Q immediately with the
current technology.

3. Mass can not exist in different locations at the same time Ta.

4. Light, electromagnetic waves travel in straight lines in vacuum
(interstellar space), except when they are bent by the gravitational
forces of nearby masses.


Speed (V) is defined, in a given frame of reference K. as a distance
(difference in position) between point (P0) and point P1 divided by
the elapsed time (difference in time) T0 and T1.

The equations did not transfer properly.

Is it even possible to envision such a phenomenon of V = ∞?

Does it exist in the physical world? What are the consequences?

Are we ever going to detect it? Are we going to be able to use it?

The following chapters will present answers to these and other
questions as derived during the Mind Games of the author.
