Major service disruptions are scheduled for JR East Lines that go
through Shinjuku due to construction of new facilities. Trips downtown
best avoided this day.

Date: April 15th, Saturday
Hours: Whole day.

* Narita Express: no service to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Omiya,
Takao all day. Narita Express #3 next day (April 16th, Sun) to start
from Shinjuku instead of Takao.

* Yamanote Line: service as usual.

* Chuo Line: no rapid service. Orange trains operate on the local
tracks; taking 6-8 minutes more than usual between Shinjuku and Tokyo.

* Chuo Line long distance: Azusa, Kaiji depart from Nakano.

* Saikyo Line, Rinkai Line, Shonan-Shinjuku Line: no service between
Ikebukuro and Osaki. (Use the Yamanote Line for this section.)

Detours:

Passengers with a valid JR East ticket crossing an affected section will
be allowed on (1) All Tokyo Metro Subway Lines (2) All Toei Subway Lines
(3) Keio Main Line east of Meidai-mae and the whole Inokashira Line. If
you enter with a Suica this won't work. Make sure to purchase a ticket.

If crossing the city center east-west, consider using the Musashino Line.
