The Japan Fact Sheet says:

There is also a 2000 yen note.

Wrong.  Japan uses 100 Volt 50/60 Hz.
50 Hz in east Japan, 60 Hz in west Japan.

In America it is 120 Volt 60 Hz.  (There might be regional exceptions.)
The wrong voltage or frequency can degrade performance or even cause damage in
certain appliances.
