I recently came back home after travelling around the world for more
than 8 months, and 2 of those months were spent in Japan, backpacking
all over the place. It was a blast!!
I had the greatest time and would love to go back some day and see more.
I've even considered looking into going back to work, for a year or
whatever. Teaching English or whatever..

This is of course fantastic -to have such good memories from a place,
but talking to other gajins I met (who lived in Japan), reading bits and
pieces on the web, and of course this newsgroup I understand that
there's a big difference between living and visiting Japan, and that all
isn't rosy and fun.

I'd like to know more about how life is in Japan for non-Japanese: the
good and the bad, and what you're comparing with.
