Clearly you have never lived in a Chinese society. 

Most Chinese think of people like you as ignorant apes who have
managed to stand on their hind legs and who may, with a great deal of
training and hard work, be taught to speak a few words of a civilized
language, i.e. Chinese.
 
In this I must confess that I tend to agree with the Chinese. My
family is one of those which made vast profits from the Chinese opium
trade of which you were speaking and about which you seem to have very
little accurate information. To please you even further, the family
went into opium following the abolition of the slave trade as they
needed a new business to employ their ships profitably.
