Is that anything like preferring the titles "rape" "massacre" or "genocide" to
be reserved for mostly non-American, non-Christian, non-Caucasian actions?

If one gang of criminals catching seven members of another gang of criminals
unawares and killing them, gets called a "Massacre", or killing 70,000 people
gets called a "genocide", then we should recognize many more, even if they are
not on the scale of what Japanese or German soldiers did in WWII.
