Re: Initial impressions from the Japanese premier of Fahrenheit 9/11
Uh, you shouldn't blather on if you haven't even seen the movie. I was
watching especially closely for this, actually. There was no "claim" in the
movie about what page the headline appeared on, but it was actually quite
difficult to see. Michael Moore just flashed several pages of newspaper
reports across the screen, and there were no comments there to be taken as
falsehoods. Some of them certainly appeared to be front page reports, others
were less clear. From watching the actual movie, it is quite difficult to
imagine the basis of the actual lawsuit, but lawyers can be creative in
these things.
More interestingly, the claim for damages in the lawsuit you mention is $1.
That's right, they say they were damaged to the value of ONE entire US
dollar. Normally you're supposed to follow the money to figure out the
motive of the "crime", but $1? Something funny in this lawsuit, and it's not
funny ha-ha.
But what is the truth value of your first paragraph?
The second paragraph was just ad hominem and meaningless.
(Since this is no longer specifically related to Japan, I have set
follow-ups to alt.fan.michael-moore.)

We don't know if 9/11 could have been stopped--but we do know Dubya failed
to stop it. That's the FACT.
Do you agree that democracy is good and depends on serious discussion of the
issues? If so, don't reply to off topic, ad hominem garbage. Send it to "The
vile spewers of mindless blather thread".
