It depends what size prints you want to print at, I have an Olympus
730 Ultra Zoom 3.2 megapxels and I can print A4 and can't tell the
difference with print or a photo taken on film but at A3 it becomes
grainy and pixelated.
   I'm saving to buy a Fuji FinePix S2pro with a Nikon 14mm  x 30mm
so that i can print BIG mainly landscapes.
