Fact remains, in Japan, they've got people without good balance or legs strong
enough to hold them up, and people in long flowing dresses or kimono, and still
places even in big cities or stations (and trains) with no choice of toilet.
The closest thing to a handrail in a Japanese style toilet is gripping the
plumbing itself. Provided (if any) hooks and shelves are usually insufficient
to hold one's luggage, skirts or pants, if necessary.
