My slogan trying to get just 200 or 300 yen per month out of acquaintances
(I know better than to come right out and ask for a few thousand yen to
accomplish what I want), at least while it is cold (now that I've given
out the sweaters, jackets, shirts, mufflers, briefs, towels, and futons -
I still want long underwear at minimum, then gloves and hats), is:

"Give up a beer for the homeless."

Limiting myself to the remaining nine people near the station and
occasional pitiable stragglers, I might be satisfied by Christmas.

As for getting the people money, health coverage, jobs and housing, or
taking care of all Fukuyama's alleged 80 homeless, and the thousands in my
neighborhood's public housing, that's plainly someone else's job.
