The basic rule is:
1) undergraduate degree or higher OR
2) minimum 10 years experience in specified field
Lately the Immigration Bureau (in Nagoya at least) folks have been a
little more flexible regarding (2) owing to skill shortages in some
fields. Whether they would be as flexible in Tokyo I've no idea, though
I suspect not. It would be easier (and wiser) to finish off the degree.
