Yeah, but it sure does taste good sometimes. I know it can be bought, 
though; my wife (Japanese) makes a very nice bacon and asparagus dish 
that can only be made properly (according to her Japanese cookbook) if 
you use smoked bacon. Mmmmm... bacon....
