Older DVD players don't seem to like DVD-R/RW media but anything bought in 
the last 2 years should read them fine. However, you've provided these discs 
without trying them out on a set-top player which I always use as my 
ultimate acid test.  You really don't have a regular dvd player?  Bit 
surprised at that.

As I scribe this post our - now essential for recording NHK kids shows - 
hard disk/dvd recorder is busy dubbing last week's England/Wales and 
tonight's England/France game strangely enough to VHS so a couple of local 
non-DVD player owning AETs can witness two pathetic England performances.
