Anyone in the group ever actually met this guy? We never seem to attract
any of the people who have bothered to write and succeeded in having
published anything about Japan. Or do they all secretly lurk here - I can't
believe they would shy away from posting here or any of the other gaijin
forums. Or are we all THAT sad?
I do have one celebrity gaijin friend - a taiko drummer - first gaijin ever
to be granted a visa to study and teach taiko. He's been featured in several
TV shows - and he's also pretty handy at covering some of my classes when I
go on holiday! "What shall I teach them?" he asked me - "Well, bring your
small drums one week and let everyone mess around with them. Play UNO the
second week!" (Who needs an MA in TEFL when you can think up lesson plans
like that on the spot.)
