Our fondest ideals go down in flames, routinely, because we don’t
accept the fact that World Peace is mandatory – the first
prerequisite for real improvement. Pre-World Peace, progress is
doomed to struggle, paradox and frustration. Radical improvement,
however, will grow organically from a seed bed of World Peace. Like
past arguments in favor of slavery, the internal logic of reactionary
arguments (supporting some fantasy of national-militant security) will
evaporate. Then we can get on with the task of civilizing ourselves,
with much less friction and strife.

We need to refocus our scattered priorities. Consider this slogan:
First things first, World Peace first.
Simple, clear, and focused laser-like at the nucleus of our problem.

For World Peace to begin, everyone on Earth, (reactionary and
progressive alike, everyone who cares), needs to share the same
textbook and technical vocabulary, in order to argue about it
coherently. Without this common text, it’s a go-nowhere debate:
sloppy, amateurish and unclear. I’ve always wondered what such a
book, On Peace, would look like.

We have On War, and millions of texts supporting it. There is no On
Peace, and its supporting documentation no longer exists. Does this
discrepancy not strike you as strange? What survives of ancient
literature is less than 1% of what was ever written: less than one out
of ten works, from less than one out of ten authors – even from
the best-preserved literatures, like the Roman, Greek and Chinese.
Did everyone else write more of the same, or something entirely
different, yet longingly familiar?

I have spent the last thirty years assembling my equivalent of On
Peace. I believe many magnificent versions of On Peace have been
written, then near-instantly auto da fe’d. So I call my humble
knock-off LEARNERS: On the Move from Weaponworld to Peaceworld. It is
freely available for your review, or anyone else’s, at
www.peaceworld.freeservers.com. I am using the WWW to disseminate it.
For the first time in history, we have the means, motive and
opportunity to make our fondest dream of World Peace become practical
reality, then every other progressive ideal. World Peace requires
your help, this minute -- will you help?
