No, the PS3 is slated to "launch" in Spring 2006--meaning, it will be
officially unveiled at E3, with a retail release date of Fall 2006.  If it
is true that developers are getting dev kits right now, expect 18 months for
the first meager titles--Fall of 2006.

Sony was deliberately vague about the launch date in an attempt to get the
media to think that the Xbox 360 will only have a six month head-start.
Obviously, it worked...
