I've never heard of that either---I'm still using an inkan that was made
for me by a company I left some time ago. But then, I haven't worked
inhouse for many years so maybe companies are getting more twitchy about
security.
If they insist, though, maybe you should tell them you will deface them
before returning them, for security's sake?
(uh... why two of them?)
