Rent? Just buy a cheapie in Akiba.
The people who promote one of the large-bandwidth services (Yahoo?) near
our station, also sell pre-used laptops for a ridiculously low price
(?¥980??), but I'd never bothered looking into the deal too
closely--it's possible it's tied into the purchase of their system, I
realise. Next time they're there, I'll look.
