Question about mpeg movies from my new SR82 camcorder
Hi all,
I just bought a DCR-SR82 harddrive camcorder a few days ago and I have a
problem with the mpeg movies it produces. Simply put, Windows Media Player
can't play them after I transfer them to my PC. There is also an additional
file that is created, a ".modd" file, with every mpeg.
The Windows Media website (Microsoft), says that the problem might be "ID3"
headers, which I would need to remove from the mpeg files.
I'm thinking, isn't here a way for the camcorder to make mpegs without these
"ID3" headers to begin with, like changing a setting on the camera? Is
there an easier solution other than the Microsoft suggestion to run every
file through a separate program to remove the "ID3" tags?
Thanks.
