Alan Frederick Lawton BSc., CEng., MIMechE., r.c.d.s., FBIM, Captain -
Retired, Royal Navy.  Address at August 2001: 124 Winchester Avenue,

I wish to set the record straight regarding the above named Alan
Frederick Lawton.
 
The main contact I have had with Alan Lawton was to be bridesmaid at
his wedding in 1967 in Glasgow to my cousin Susan Johnstone.  Her
father was my mother’s brother and her address at that time was 330
Byres Road, Hillhead, Glasgow.  Her father John was in Glasgow Police
and was based at Govan.  She was a policewoman in Glasgow and had been
for a few years.  The wedding took place a few hundred yards from that
Byres Road home, in the Church of Scotland, Observatory Terrace,
Glasgow.

Little did I know at the time that the marriage had been arranged and
that the then Lieutenant Alan and his wife Susan were to be cashing in
on money belonging not to them but to me.  Matrimonial ceremonies were
leading to Featherbed Lane.  They were going to make impact and by
this time in 2003 they still are.  If I ever wondered just how two
young marrieds were going to be able to set up home, have children
swiftly, have a wife’s private allowance, keep up appearances, and be
entertaining, then my queries have been answered.  Masonic and crime.

But in the realms of live and let live I let them do just that.

They were going to be entertaining.  I didn’t know just how much so at
that time.  When I was told that crystal and a dinner service was
required I had no qualms.  Why shouldn’t there be?  When I was told
that ‘skimpy the budget’ had a fur coat to buy I thought ‘and why
shouldn’t it be?  I wouldn’t want one but I’m not she’.

When I was told that on returning from honeymoon in a hotel in one of
the Spanish islands Alan had no money but the hotel had a hairdryer my
eyebrows started rising.

'Ooohh.  Well that wouldn’t bother me.  But entertaining!  Now that
would be.’

Promotion has followed rapid promotion for ex-lieutenant Lawton as can
be seen from his Naval Records which are housed on most British
library bookshelves.  He was seconded to the Ministry of Defence in
Whitehall, London, under the then placed Minister of Defence, Nicholas
Soames, son-in-law of the Belladonna Weatherall.  Nicholas Soames is
equerry to Prince Charles Windsor.

'Belladonna' means Deadly Nightshade, of the plant genre Solanaceae. 
Deadly Nightshade means instant death.

This has come to light in recent months and is beginning to be seen by
not only his naval superiors and subordinates but also by the general
public.  My ex-cousin cat’s tail might be in a twist but don’t have
her blame anyone but they.

R.c.d.s. mentioned in Lawton’s Curriculum Vitae means Royal College of
Defense Studies and it is situated in Belgrave Square in central
London.  The cookie crumbles.  How can anyone place emphasis on a
national defense college when records show grr...crime?

I have not seen Alan Lawton since the time of his wedding, although
his speakeasy and I kept in contact by letter until approximately
1974, at about which time they went to New Zealand where Alan
apparently took up the post of Director of Engineering for the New
Zealand Navy.
 
If, as has been a matter of conjecture for some, Alan Lawton has been
taking an interest in my circumstances since that time, and in
particular in recent months, then answer this?  Why is it that I am
still living in homeless hostels, night-shelters and - on occasion -
the streets, and why is it that family life is being denied?
 
Make no mistake:
 
It is by the Grace of God that my daughters and I are here this day
and will go further.
 
It is no thanks at all to Alan Lawton that we will do so and I have,
and will have, no contact with either of them in future.

effects.  Although he is now well aware of the truth of what has been
going on not once has he ever made any effort to even apologize.  In
the words of the Doppler effect ‘they come and they go’ and not a
moment too soon for that one.

Both of the United Nations Headquarters in New York and Geneva have
failed to elicit a reply as to whether the UDHR 1948 is still in
operation, and if it is indeed of any significance in Britain.
 
Refusal to reply perhaps indicates official recognition that it is

Appendix I:

The Astronomical Clock in
St. Mary’s Church in Gdansk, Poland,

Constructed in 1463 - 1470 by Hans Duringer from Torun this clock
functioned until 1553.  During World War II it was dissembled and
stored in various parts of the country.  1983 the ‘Horologium Society’
took up restoration of the clock and, since 27 April 1990, the clock’
again counts the time’ - after 437 years of standing still.

The clock is 14 meters high and has three storeys.  The ground floor
contains the Calendar with four figures symbolizing the four phases of
human life and St Mary in the center.  The second floor has the
Planetarium with the hour circle, the Zodiac, and the device for the
phases of the moon.  The upper floor is taken by the Theatre of 23
moveable figures of angels, door guards, apostles, evangelists etc. 
All is crowned with the paradise tree at which stand Adam and Eve.  
The spacious Calendarium provides 15 arts of indications with 3584
detailed data.

On 22 concentric rings of the big dial one reads the following data: 
1. Diurnal letters - to determine the days of the week.  2. Roman
dates.  3. Cisiojanus i.e. the shortened calendar of the Saints.  4.
Dates of the new moon for the years 1463-1538 calculated by minutes. 
5. Solar grade i.e. position of the sun in a given sign of the Zodiac.
 6. Ecclesiastical calendar with the full names of the Saints etc.  7.
 Letters of signs indicating the position of the moon in the lunar
month.

Factually presented, this clock with a strong degree of astronomical
accuracy shows the hand of Our Father, the Architect and Creator of
the Universe.

The Days of Elijah are on time.

The artistic decoration of the clock symbolizes the caducity of human
life and the consolation and hope brought by Christ Child, held in the
lap of Mary.
