Some photos of a strange aircraft have been creating something of a stir in 
some Internet circles. Writing can be seen on the underside of this thing. 
One of the symbols looks, to me, exactly like katekana "fu" and another 
looks to me like katekana "n". The others don't seem to be from that 
syllabary, but I thought that perhaps it's a mixture that includes some 
kanji --or maybe some other characters that would be familiar to a speaker 
of Japanese. I'd appreciate any comments. The pictures are at
