Thus the repeat posting with fjlij added. If there are better places I should ask this question, please tell me. My Japanese friend wants me to help teach her english. Right now her english is pretty limited (Jr High school level?). Most of her knowledge comes from NHK lessons. I want to find a textbook, send her a copy, and work on the lessons together by phone and email. In Japan a couple weeks ago I looked for books but almost all seemed to be not much more than phrase books. I also need a book with instructor material in english since my japanese is worse than her english. I think probably there are a lot of people here who currently or previously taught english in Japan and might have a recommendation for a good textbook. What did/do you use?
