Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear.

There are ******2****** uncompress steps involved.

Step 1: Uncompress the zip file (you've done that, apparently).

Step 2: Run EXPAND.EXE on each of the files ending in *.SY_ *.DL_ and
*.EX_ (you have NOT done this, apparently). Use the link I gave you to the
Microsoft site to learn how to run EXPAND.

The second step will create your INSTALL.EXE from the INSTALL.EX_ file you
find after running the first step. It will also create all the other files
you need, ending in *.SYS, *.EXE and *.DLL. It is not sufficient to run
EXPAND only on INSTALL.EX_. You must run EXPAND on as many files as end
with *.SY_ *.EX_ and *.DL_. As I recall, this is something in the
neighborhood of about 20 files you will have to run through the EXPAND
utility. If there are any other file extensions that end with an
underscore (I didn't see any, but I only took a quick look so I might have
missed them), you must run EXPAND on those, also. Any file ending in a
underscore must be run through EXPAND.

In other words, the downloaded zip file is NOT a ready-to-run set of files
after unzipping it. There is more work to do on each file you get after
unzipping. I'm not sure why that is, but I don't have any say-so in how
the download site packages their zipped driver files. Seems odd to me.

Once you've EXPAND'ed all the files, then you may run INSTALL.EXE,
followed by the instructions in the README file. The README file will tell
you how to associate the new driver with the display controller. Running
INSTALL.EXE, as I understand the directions in this package, will only
place the proper files in the proper directories, and also update your
registry so they are known. But INSTALL.EXE doesn't actually change the
driver being used nor configure your choices. That is a manual process.
Thus, to complete the setup, you have to follow the manual instructions
set forth in README.

In summary:

1. Unzip the file from the download site. You will get about 25 or 30
files from this process. About 20 of them will have names ending in a
underscore.

2. Run EXPAND.EXE on each file whose name ends in an underscore. Don't
leave any of them out. 100% must be run through EXPAND. It won't work if
you only expand INSTALL.EX_ to INSTALL.EXE. You must expand ALL of the
files that end in an underscore. If you need help on running EXPAND, refer
to the link I posted in my previous message. It explains everything.

3. Run INSTALL.EXE. This file should now exist if you completed step 2.

4. Follow the directions in the README file.

5. You should be in business.

Hope that explains a little better.

Cheers!
