To go with the apparent end of this newsgroup? Well, you can't say I didn't see it coming. Anyway, it's actually on the bargain 11th floor of the neighboring Takashimaya Department Store. I was especially impressed by the range of non-fiction books in the inventory reduction category, where the prices were also the best. The other main category is special purchases from distressed distributors, some of whom seem to have good reason for distress. I spent about two hours selecting a few books yesterday, but a clerk told me they have lots more inventory yet to be displayed. I'll probably make a second visit over the weekend, and I think it continues until next Monday or Tuesday. Special appeal for the 'leaders' of this newsgroup: Lots of translated manga in various languages. I was going to add another post about the opening of Sicko in Japan, along with a Japan-relevant query about the number of uninsured people in Japan, but it obviously isn't worth so much effort. The meta- topical report of the only actual thread said about two non-spam posts over the last few days--or was it weeks? Assuming the generous ratio of 1-10, that implies about 20 readers. Y'all are doing a great job of building up the readership, eh? Y'all want some respect, eh? Rather too late for that, but you might have started a couple of years ago by not being such a bunch of... bunch of... Well, words just fail me. Inhospitable motherfruckers seems so poorly balanced, even as a Japlish joke. -- The truth alone will not make you free. However, it is one of the prerequisites. Unless you know the truths underlying your options, you cannot choose in freedom, whether you're buying laundry soap or a war. Bushevik deadenders are simply slaves to the neo-GOP lies.
