I think Japan's reactions to abitrary and irrational restrictions by
the IWC officially preventing Japan etc from resuming sustainable
harvesting can easily be rationalised as actions viewed from perceived
national interest.

Been there done that. I have filmed in Taiji and when asking questions
and obtaining clarifications have shown some of the footage to people I
know in Taiji. Now could you try answering the questions above please?
I am personally opposed to Japanese hunting of great whales in the SH,
but have no objection to regulated sustainable harvesting inside
Japan's own EEZ. Is your objection territorial? based on Oz national
interest? Emotional?
