"The great 100 yen beer joint hunt" inspired me to ask this :
What are good Japanese beers?

I have tried Kirin, Asahi and Sapporo, all okay imh (yet german)
opinion, and I know that Chinese beer does not deserve the name. And
with all that south americans here I still cannot get enough of that
wonderful Corona. But what else is good in Japan? nomimashoo.

(p.s. for all nagoyans, take the subway to fujigaoka and then walk a
few hundred meters back the way the train came until you find a place
that looks like (and indeed is) an american burger joint. that guy is a
collector. foreign beer otaku. and he is willing to sell.)
