I'm the first to jump in and help if someone wants information; I'm a
regular in several NGs and forums where I openly and with great
appreciate contribute. However, the OP very clearly wasted a good trip
to Japan shopping for goods he probably could have bought for less in
Thailand, and felt obliged to slam the entire country based on that
limited experience. It's incredibly naive and ridiculous to get mad at
someone who nearly stepped on him when he was sitting on the floor; to
me it's to be expected that if you sit where people walk there is a
good chance they'll walk on you.
