OK, so a "Smallish independent/regional brewer with a good reputation
& widely distributed" then.

I left Oz in 1992. At the time I was only aware of the sparkling ale
(red label) and the pale ale (green label). If there was a stout, I
didn't know about it. If they made it back then I guess it would have
been available somewhere in Sydney, but not necessarily in the western
suburbs.
