helicopters and drive tanks and stuff.

Which makes me think of a question: can Japanese women, in theory, be
in combat? US women are MPs and frequently face combat in Iraq; I
wonder what the rules are for Japan's military. For some reason I
expect they all either operate video cameras, play the flute
(literally and figuratively), or do secretarial work.
