I knew a German who was driving his car with a German license for 2 years since he never became aware that he had to switch it over for a Japanese one. He was very apologetic, and the policeman was a nice guy. He was told to go to the driving license office the next day to get things fixed, and turn up afterward at the police station to show his new license. No fine was given! It really depends on the the guy he is dealing with. I could imagine that a Rolls Royce driver won't be as lucky as the owner of a Minicar since no policeman likes rich assholes who want to show off...:-) Sigi
