that last point i think is wrong. Gendo was never suicidal, just maniacal.
He believes he's elevating the ENTIRE human race to immortality, and not
destroying it.

Ok, i've read a heap of shit on the net about the whole soul thing with the
evas, and i believe that all eva's have a core containing the soul of
someone important to the pilot. If you watch EoE, you see that Asuka finaly
makes contact with the eva and calls her "Momma"

Misato didnt actually die instantly. She hovered near death, but didnt
actually cross over. Thats how she was able to convert to LCL, as LCL is
merely the living body without the souls AT field.

WHy not, if it's possible for a pilot to tap into the conciousness of the
eva, its should be possible the other way around.
> * Naoko never had anything to do with Unit 00, being entirely a computer

Which means she was aware of pretty much everything going on in GEHIRN, and
probably helped to create rudimentary uplinks to the evas, which Ritsuko
then finiished when she joing.
> * Naoko died outside of Unit 00.
I've seen somone fall 10 stories and live to tell the tale...we dont
actually get told she's dead.

But in the end of the movie, the magi, chose gendo over ritsuko, which part?
the part that was her woman. (ie sex)....thus if she would chose lover over
daughter, she may also choose to accept rei for gendo.

No. He said "IT's Rei's" Meaning that the EVA didnt like the fact that
there seemed to be an invader. Flooding is nerve connections with memories,
may have been a way to remove the intrued.er and it worked.

They do have differant personalitys, but this is probably due more to the
fact that 14yr old children do not just spring forth with knowledge. Imagine
waking up one morning with 14yrs of memories, but no actual memory of doing
it....

Rei doesnt have the soul of lillith. As you can see, lillith is alive.

Rei I was not revived. I think the best thing i can think of, is that when a
rei dies, the soul immediatly departs and is somehow captured by an empty
rei, swimming in the lcl....
