I have just acquired a Sony PCG-C1XD and wish to install Win XP but, after
formatting the Hard drive, find that the CD drive - Sony PCGA-CD51 - needs
a driver before it will boot the XP install CD !! ... I have managed to 
install the
PCMCIA but Dos programming is not my forte ...... :o/  I need a boot floppy,
or a downloadable one that works ... tried Sony support download but it 
keeps
giving errors.

Can anyone assist please?? it is a cracking little netbook altho` a bit old, 
it
works well on 64Meg Ram with Win 98, well worth keeping...
