Mobile Suit EVA?  Sponge Gendo?
Aqua Teen EVA Force?  NERVLab 2016?

Aside from a Twin Peaks type prequel, what could even Anno do with this and
not ruin/sell it out?
Unless he took a huge risk and made a serious effort to cross it over with
another series.
