A fair point, but they had an actual strategy for PSone though (which I
agreed with too) - making it a format for toddlers/kids (Bob The
Builder....kinda vibe) - probably a very misguided anti-Nintendo move at the
time.

Seeing as though they want to bring Socom 4 and GOW2 to PS2 though, well it
would seem this is no longer the strategy for an outgoing system?

I personally think they have an official 'PStwo' screen lined up - and will
hope to see it become a sort of alternative to PSP.....although not quite as
'portable', for cars/caravans/hotel stays and such....PStwo and a screen
would be ideal. (I will have a screen sooner than they make an official
version though - and am keeping my PS2 games for this very reason)

Basically it's one *HELL* of an installed user base.... that any company
would be simply crazy to just drop. I hope it's well future supported, even
if only by Sony in-house. The PS2 is going to be making money for Sony in
the run-in for PS3, and there's no reason that would just stop.

BTW, the Betamax thing - I take it you're joking? :/ If not, mebe they hoped
that after nearly 41 years, people would finally realize that it wiped the
floor with VHS? ;)
