Something has been puzzling me for a while now. Why can some people sell
nothing (something they don't own or can't own), trick people, etc., but
others can't sell a thing when they actually have an item to sell? It can't
be due to a lack of interest. People watch reality shows, people buy used
items, people listen to all forms of music, and buy these things just as
people buy training aids of various types and for a wide range of
activities. So why when something useful comes along, is it suddenly to be
trash? Or not to be bought?
A related query, do you think God would punish someone that he made
multi-talented that does nothing? Not necessarily nothing, but nothing that
earns a decent wage. And why would he do this when the person has no idea
what they should be doing? I don't believe this to be likely. God always
has a reason to make someone suffer, and the person suffering has to know
why they are suffering. Jonah knew why. That king knew why and accepted
being punished. Those harming his people have suffered, either in a group,
or individually, but these people had the ability to effect change. Change
from harming a group of people, or change from hurting all people.
Similarly, God always has a way out, a way for the person suffering to not
suffer. This is why they always know why they are suffering, so that the
opportunity to not suffer has a chance. All Jonah had to do was spread the
word. All Pharaoh had to do was release the Jews. All Goliath had to do
was not fight the Jews. But a way out is only valid when the others
involved do the right thing. When the others God has touched do what is
expected of them.
Interesting, isn't this?
