Hi,

I have some more marriage related questions for those with experience.
Last week, my (now) wife and I submitted the konin-todoke at the ward
office and by some amazing luck had it all filled out properly, had all
the right documents with proper translations, etc., and had no problems.
On the konin-todoke, my wife checked the box to stay on her family's
koseki. After doing some more reading and with thoughts of having
children in the future, I'm wondering about koseki's and jyuuminhyou's.

I read some conflicting information, but from my understanding, I think
I can have my name added somehow to my wife's family's koseki. Was my
name added automatically when we registered our marriage, or do we have
to submit additional forms to do this? Any advice on whether my wife
should create her own koseki with me added to it or just continue with
her family's. I read somewhere she has three months after registering
the marriage to create her own koseki (is this correct?).

Also, it seems I can only be put on my wife's jyuuminhyou in the
"remarks" section. Is this statement accurate? How do I get my name
added to my wife's jyuuminhyou?

Any other advice or issues to aware of concerning koseki/jyuuminhyou's?

Thanks,
John
