There are several Internet Fax services available... but I don't need to
send email to a Fax machine.

Is there any service which allows one to send faxes from a fax machine via
the Internet (originating in Japan)?
How big are these fax files (typewritten pages)? Are they compressed?
Il be sitting in a village of the Austrian alps where broadband means 56 KB
modem speed...
