Gauntlet accepted.

Yes I included Kentucky bourbon within that sweeping bon mot. One of
our alumni from Louisville Kentucky recently visited & brought a
bottle of "Labrot & Graham Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Whiskey" and through down a similar challenge. While impressed that
Kentuckians can spell "whiskey" correctly, the bourbon turned out to
be exactly as expected - crap. She even selected one of mine during
the blind tasting.

Here are a couple for you to compare, all are on the shelf at Zig Zag
and any decent bar should have them:

Midleton Very Rare (Irish Whiskey)
Connemara Cask Strength Peated Single Malt (Irish Whiskey)
Auchentoshan 12 year old (single malt lowland scotch, but triple
distilled)
The Dalmore 12 (single malt highland scotch)

Enjoy the discovery process! When can you visit. Your good friend
Kevin Gowen is due to visit again in June.
