You're in luck, because we're in millipede season here. My wife has turned
into a kind of Japanese chemical Ali as she fights to eradicate them...
IME, centipedes are bigger. Our millipedes are about the size of small
caterpillars. Centipedes are around 5 inches long, and thicker. Never been
bit by a millipede -- although one dropped onto my neck a couple days ago --
but centipede bites hurt like a bitch. Worse than a hornet, I would say.
Lat year one of our dogs tried to eat a centipede. The right side of his
face looked like a soccer ball for about 3 days. He tried it once more --
then never again.
