Really ? Each time I see the women-only car, that reminds me of friends that were expats in Iran and said they'd find that they couldn't go to many places together as she had to go to the women-only places and he was going to men places. > I never said there was a law. I said there is a rule, which there is if > they post signs and notices and such saying 'women only in this car'. A *rule* of politeness, like that of letting your seat to ederly. > In other countries, they'd > have got a > > trial on the first day. > > Maybe the lawyers can better speak to this. Lawyers come when you call them. I'm pretty sure that if in France, a semi-public company (in Kansai, even if they call themselves *private businesses* all the big train companies get most of their equipment budget from tax money, and the small one even get more) was starting a discriminatory campaign like that one, there would be popular reactions. That's really OK for you to be told "You're a potential pervert, so women cannot stand your presence in the train." ? Kuri
