You mentioned "Japanese researchers" WRT the article in question. Since
the article wasn't written by Japanese researchers, he is not
contradicting a Japanese researcher by claiming the article is wrong, is
he?
Or was your statement about "Japanese researchers" irrelevant as well?
BTW, a coupla minutes on google turned up textiles, paper, and chemicals
as World War II industries in Gifu. Indeed, NOW it is one of the main
plastics centers, so its hardly surprising that Mr Schaal would see
considerable industry in the region, is it?
