これも日本語に単純に直してしまうと落ちが伝わらないんだろうなぁ。
要は、over-aged destroyerとyour motherをひっかけているわけで…。

over-agedは「年数のたった」と「年老いた」って意味。
destroyerは駆逐艦のほか「破壊者」でもあるわけ。

こう考えると角川文庫の「ポケット・ジョーク」って
上手く訳されているとも思うけど、
一方で日本語でもジョークが伝わるネタしか採用していないのかな、
とも思ったり…。
