Not sure about this sepponia, but the US has a sort of "gentleman's
agreement" not to draft the kids, though I believe some kids have
tried to circumvent that. Actually, the biggest obstacle is the
roughly 10 years or so the Japanese have to put in before they
become unrestricted free agents.
