The Red Sox are coming off a loss to the
Cleveland Indians on Wednesday. Jody Gerut posted three
hits and extended his career-high hitting streak to 15 games
while Tim Laker homered, as the Tribe downed Boston, 6-4, in
the rubber match of their three-game set at Fenway Park.
Curt Schilling is again likely to take the mound for the
Boston Red Sox in this second of a four-game series in
Toronto at SkyDome. Schilling notched his first complete
game of the season in last Saturday's 9-1 victory over
Kansas City, and is 1-2 with a 3.68 ERA and one complete
game against Toronto. The Red Sox have taken four of six
from Toronto this season and are 39-24 against the
Blue Jays since the start of the 2001 season.
