Two weeks ago I had to fight my way through idiots milling around before the
university closing ceremonies started. Then last week it was idiots milling
aournd before the university opening ceremonies while being shoulted at by
station staff to get out of the way. At least this year they had a rope barrier
to seperate traffic in both directions. An interesting principle of fluid
dynamics is that a constricted path when reduces eddies actually increases flow.

I was thinking of Ed this morning as I forced my way throught the crowd outisde
Kita no Maru Koen, enjoying the beauty of Japan's seasons and exclaiming how
beautiful the cherry blossoms are. They are worse than the uni students as they
have all day to to nothing but get in my way and stare at the pretty pink
flowers.
