Both machines were Identical; while on one (the 2nd) machine I simply plugged in the 4MB Cache Module, and things were running perfect right away, I did the complete Software procedure on the 1st one (which didn't work with the Cache Module installed afterwards) :p On that machine, the Software coming with the Cache Module, "updated" the existing AlphaBios 5.70 to something like V5.29 and also flashed the "SROM", really looks old (Disks are from 1997 it seems). Now that machine continues to work normal without Cache, but as soon as I install the Cache Module, fails to boot/Post :p Q: Where do I get the latest AlphaBios and "SROM" to flash it back to the modern, current state ? I take it, as soon as that is restored, the (expensive) Cache upgrade will finally work....
