But too much of any particular nation-race is bound to get on any
life-gaijin's tits. Afterall, surely one of the reasons we choose to live
here is because there is something fundamentally unappealing about our home
countries. Subjectively speaking of course.

In a rather pathetic defense of the 'Angel Isle' I would say that facetious
and somewhat condesceding we may well be to other English-speaking types, it
in no way compares to the utter contempt a large majority of us have for our
own nation, heritage, culture, language and general way of life. I have
rarely if ever heard a 'Brit' exclaim "proud to be British" and we generally
adopt a somewhat submissive position when it comes to any criticism of our
country.

I would in fact be interested to know what Canajuns, Austrians or Sepponians
think whenever they spot a fellow countryman adorned in a article of
clothing bearing their nation's flag. Most 'Uklanders' would consider the
fellow to be a idiot for wearing the 'Union Jack' - a product of the
Ibiza-tripping, Beckham worshipping, Estuary-classes. Remove the person
200km down the M4 to Cardiff, obviously replace the Union Jack for the Red
Dragon, on match day at the new temple of rugby - The Millennium Stadium -
and you have a proud member of the Celtic races. Someone to be admired for
his nationalism - as well as his large waistline!
